My condolence to the Family.  I was Bob and Sara's insurance agent for Alabama Hose and Couplings and then agent for the son John.  I dearly loved Sara and Bob.  I enjoyed visiting with them and talking about everyday issues.  I talked insurance all the time - I just enjoyed knowing them both and talking about everyday life such as a gardens, flowers, children and of course the heart break of cancer.  I laughed at Bob about his view of women.  He thought a woman was to make good biscuits.  I told him he need to be looking at Walmart - women don't make biscuits anymore (not even my mom).  Bob and Sara both always talked about the grandchildren and how they dressed up and were just such pretty children.  They were so proud of their grandchildren. Bob talked about going to Georgia after Sara passed away.  I missed him but all ways stayed in touch thru John until the business was closed.  To the children and grandchildren of Bob - he was a fine man and he loved his family.  I know you miss him.  I was glad to read  in the obituary where it said he has gone to join his loving wife Sara.  They will never be forgotten.  Lee Morris

I am a Realtor with Harry Norman, Realtors and was working with Mr. Massengale on a purchase of a home in a retirement community at Sun City Peachtree 2 years ago.  He had some reservations regarding the purchase and the move to this community in Griffin and cancelled the contract.   Bob had some health issues  and shared with me that he needed to stay close to his medical facilities.  We remained in contact and I gave him a market analysis on his home in Autum Glen, just in case he got in the mood to sell again.   It wasn't long after that, I called him to see how he was doing and he told me he was at Azalea Estates.  He asked me if I would help him find an agent in Alabama to sell his business facililty.  The Realtor in Alabama promised that the property was located in a popular area and should sell quickly.   We received a couple of offers, but Bob felt they were too low.  I got a call on Wednesday that the agent had another offer, I asked him to send it to us.  I was saddened to read in today's paper that Bob had left this world, but I was glad to know that he is no longer in pain.  I will cherish my meetings with Bob and will never forget his sense of humor - he was quite a character.  My thoughts and prayers are with you, his family.
