William Bishop
William C. Bishop, 84, of Newnan, passed away Saturday, July 03, 2010 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. He was born October 15, 1925 in Coweta County, GA to the late James Robert Bishop & Berta Kate Kellum Bishop Bunn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Floyd Bishop and sister, Edna B. Williams. Mr. Bishop was well known throughout Newnan as the happy deaf, mute bicycle man. One could always see him traveling around downtown Newnan on his decorated bicycle with a smile to match. The funeral service will be Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Mt. Gilead Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St, Newnan.
