I am  sad to know that Mr. Asa is no longer on this earth to share his wonderful tales of his life to me and others. But what a celebration he must be having.  I am so blessed to have had the privilege of Mr. Asa being part of my life's training over the past 30 plus years.
Forever loved,
Nancy D. Pye

Mr. Asa used to stop in and visit Mr. Woodie Wood at his store on Turkey Creek Road and I got to know him there. I also had the privelege of knowing his son Mitch who  like his father was an outstanding individual. My condolences to all of those who were close to him.

Tarin and I were so sad to hear of Uncle Ace's passing.  I know his brothers and son were waiting for him with joyous hearts.  Only his heart was bigger than his physical body.  I think a big, soft heart was a family trait.  Mr.Bill certainly had one too.  I wasn't blessed to know the other brothers but Mr Bill and Uncle Ace spoke of them with such love and reverence.

Grace and Family,
We were sorry to hear that Asa passed away. Asa (we called him Ace) was a good man. Don has known him for many years, he was a water boy in the peach orchard when he was about 8 years old. We called Ace and all his brothers "The Powell Boys" they were a good bunch.
May God bless you and family and give you peace.
God loves you and we do too,
Don and Mildred Jones

Grace, Bob, Powell and Lewis,
You all are in our prayers today as you mourn your loss and celebrate your Daddy's life.  Wish we could have been there last night or today, but our own responsibilities prevented that.  Rest in God's peace.

So sad to hear that Mr. Powell died.  (I spoke with you, Grace, there at the nursing home a few weeks ago, where your sweet Dad was in the room with my sweet Dad.  As I drove away that afternoon I realized that I DO remember you from our Spanish class and club.  I would love to catch up with you a bit - my e-mail address is gailw1@mindspring.com.
